Brian has been working as a photographer now for 21 years and is also director and founder partner at Studio 86 Photography in Herts. Brians great great grandfather was a photographer which he discovered recently so a good eye obviously runs in the family.

"I love being a photographer and get a huge amount of joy capturing great images that a family can enjoy for years to come. As a father myself I understand how much a family cherish the work we do here and what a really good picture of your children can mean to people. As a photographer of children and families the most important thing is to express the personalities and individuality of the subject so it feels natural and unposed. Together the photographers here have developed effective techniques for helping people relax and enjoy themselves so that really comes across in the photo's, no one wants to see a fake smile and we go to great lengths to capture the smiles parents see everyday.
I have always been a people person and enjoy the work I do immensely, meeting new people, lovely families and children and hopefully being as good a photographer as I can be so as the family grows I am there to capture them time and again.

Brian’s experience is extensive in all areas of photographer having worked as a social photographer a wedding photographer an architectural photographer and of course a portrait and studio photographer his 21 years have been diverse and called on many skills. Brian has also been retouching his own work on computer now for 15 years and can do wonders with Photoshop to remove blemishes, soften skin, whiten teeth and of course put together fantastic designs combining pictures together.

Photography has moved on so much since I started and every year we move with it the latest technologies in cameras, lenses and computer software have made being a photographer more challenging than ever and ever more interesting, At Studio 86 in Watford we see the importance of staying on the cutting edge and are always investing in the latest equipment and ideas to bring our customers the best available. The photographer must now combine the skills of photographer with retoucher,designer and technician to really produce the kind of work that the modern family is looking for. I think photography has come along way since my grandfather first exposed a glass plate negative all those years ago and as a photographer in 2008 I think this is the real golden age of photography.

Gregg only ever wanted to be a photographer from the moment he picked up a camera at the age of 16 and now 20 years later as photographer and director at Studio 86 Photography in Watford, Herts his dream of being a photographer has come true.

"When Brian a photographer friend of mine for many years said "How would you like to be a photographer in Herts, I have found a great studio location in Watford Herts" I jumped at the chance". "Well the rest they say is history now 5 years later I think we are producing as good a photography work as you can get not just in Watford or even Hertfordshire but maybe the whole country’

Gregg studied photography at college and worked in London for many years as a social photographer and then on cruise ships as Chief Photographer for Royal Caribbean Cruises before returning to London to work in Studios across the capital. Like Brian Gregg has a broad range of skills as a photographer and is great with families and children.

"I always thought that working for other photographers and studio's that I would do things a lot different if I had my way. I think what Brian and myself have achieved here at Studio 86 is a place people can come relax and enjoy the experience as much as they do the results. The Homely atmosphere and friendly ambiance of the surroundings makes being a photographer here really enjoyable, we get to see the best side of people and children and the more they smile and relax the better the photographs and the more I enjoy being their photographer.

"We are very lucky here in Hertfordshire to have some wonderful photographers but I think the photography here at Studio 86 is as good as it gets.

Gregg has been all over the world taking pictures but says he has finally found his place to settle down here in Watford, Hertfordshire who would have thought it!
